Where the line is, and who draws it.
Anything a person writes here can be reported: field notes, replies, vouches, listings, and Atlas’s own readings. Every report goes to a human. Nothing is actioned on the number of reports it receives, because report counts can be gamed.
- Malware, and links that distribute it.
- Sexual content, and anything involving minors.
- Harassment of a person, and impersonation of one.
- Spam, and notes written to carry links.
- Criticism of a product, however harsh.
- A field note the product’s owner disputes.
- Anything an owner would simply prefer gone.
An owner can reply to a note, and can report it like anyone else. The decision is never theirs — evidence a vendor can edit isn’t evidence.
A hidden note is hidden, not deleted. The row survives with the reason attached, so the decision can be reviewed and reversed.
Every takedown is recorded with a reason. The log at the bottom of this page is that record, and it is public.
Deleting a listing also removes its notes. Deletion is permanent. That act is itself recorded.

Atlas honours robots.txt and fetches only a product’s own canonical URL. A link written into a field note is stored and displayed; it is never fetched.
