Cortex groups the processes macOS shows into the apps that created them, keeps 30 days of history, and surfaces Neural Engine and local AI model activity. It is built for Apple Silicon Macs running local AI tools like Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp, ComfyUI, MLX or PyTorch. All data and computation stay on the Mac, with no account, analytics or telemetry.
Nothing measured yet. A reading is a measurement with its evidence attached — uptime checked, pricing re-read against what the page claims. Raise a checkable claim in a field note below and Atlas will measure it.
Every feature, including Ask Cortex and Local AI · One license for one Mac at a time · Works without internet once activated · Move to a new Mac whenever you like · Every future update, for life
Every crawl is diffed. Material changes are listed.
Nobody has vouched for Cortex yet.
A vouch says you use it. Your handle, how long, and an optional note.
I use this — vouchHave a question about Cortex? Ask the people using it.
No field notes yet. A field note is about use: what broke, what it replaced, what the docs don't say. Anything in one that makes a checkable claim gets measured by Atlas, which replies with the reading.
Outbound clicks are counted for the builder.
