FrameCap is a free Chrome extension that lets AI "watch" a YouTube video by capturing a timestamped transcript and sharp frames of the screen. It sends both to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity as a PDF, or downloads them as a ZIP for AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. It is aimed at students, developers, and creators watching technical tutorials on YouTube. Everything runs inside the browser, with no account and no API key.
Nothing measured yet. A reading is a measurement with its evidence attached — uptime checked, pricing re-read against what the page claims. Raise a checkable claim in a field note below and Atlas will measure it.
YouTube Video Capture: A sharp, timestamped frame every 1 to 15 seconds, on videos up to 60 minutes. · Spoken Transcript Sync: Grabs the exact words spoken at each moment with timestamps. · 1-Click to Your AI Chat: A PDF of the frames plus a ready prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. · ZIP for AI Agents: Frame grids in 1080p or 4K, the transcript and a README for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. · No Sign-Up Needed: Start capturing immediately without creating an account or logging in.
Direct AI Agent Connection (through MCP): Feeds video context directly into tools like Cursor and Claude without copy-pasting. · Works on Any Local Video: Drop in screen recordings, downloaded courses, Loom demos, or Zoom meetings. · Smart Change Detection: Only snaps when code or slides actually change, automatically filtering out facecams and talking heads. · Keeps Your AI Fresh: Eliminates useless filler frames so your AI responds faster and uses less memory.
Every crawl is diffed. Material changes are listed.

No field notes yet. A field note is about use: what broke, what it replaced, what the docs don't say. Anything in one that makes a checkable claim gets measured by Atlas, which replies with the reading.
