tinyjs is a framework for building desktop apps with a JavaScript backend (txiki.js), a native webview window, and full system access, without bundling Chromium. It uses the OS's own webview (WebKit on macOS, WebView2 on Windows, WebKitGTK on Linux) instead of Electron's bundled browser, and communicates over a Unix socket rather than an HTTP server. It targets developers who want small shipped app sizes and native chrome without giving up JavaScript or npm packages.
